Prepping for Kickstarter Campaign

I am the proud owner of an IPad and that is what I am typing on now. Takes
a while to get use to using the keypad. At first I was using just a couple of fingers, carefully looking for the proper key and now I am trying my hardest to use all my fingers like I learned in typing class many years ago and how I typed on my computer with a regular keyboard.

Another gorgeous day in New York. Spent a couple if days on the Island with family. Mom is in town and she has been enjoying here grandchildren and the birth of her new great granddaughter. This makes four great grandchildren for her. She is going strong. Won’t be surprised if she makes it to 100 and keeps going. In her old age, she has mellowed out quite a bit. She is not the meddling, controlling, and need I say, manipulative woman she was when I was growing up. In fact, she is one of my favorite people today to hang with and certainly travel with. Open, adventurous, and always musters up tons of energy when needed. She has a strong life force.

We have a come a long way. And this journey you will see in my new film which spans my life and takes your around the world. I say the film, My Nose: The Bigger Version is about the transformation of our relationship from Mommie Dearest to Dear Mom. Remember, the closet scene in Mommie Dearest when Joan Crawford goes nuts with her daughter? That was right out of my life.

We want you to get involved and be part of this film. We will be launching a grassroots fundraising effort for funds that will go towards editing by using Kickstarter, an online platform people are using to raise money for projects. Check it out… There are all kinds of wonderful films and inventions and artists to support. The way it works is you set your money goal and length of the campaign. If you don’t meet your goal, you don’t get any of the money raised. You get it. All or nothing.

I am really looking forward to doing this not only to raise the money we so need to finish this film (several broadcasters are waiting for the rough cut including HBO who premiered to former projects of mine) but also to build a community. I LOVE getting to know you, my audience.

Check out our website, We have a place where you can share your story. Have you grown up with a critical parent? How has that relationship affected all of your other relationships? Are you choosing partners who can be abusive?

Sign up for our newsletter and we will keep you updated on everything.

Got to go. We are finishing the video we are going to be using for Kickstarter.

Enjoy the day, the weekend!
